Antiques & Fine Art: The New Market During the Financial Storm

Every day, there’s more bad news about plummeting stock prices, the spiking foreclosure rate, and about the high price of gas and food causing many financial hardships. However, this financial climate has created the perfect storm for those of us working in the antiques, collectibles and fine art markets, particularly those of us who are working the 31 Club Plan.

The 31 Club Plan is the plan I wrote about in my book, 31 Steps to Your Millions in Antiques & Collectibles, published just last year.

Those of us working this plan are looking to profit substantially by locating and purchasing rare and valuable antique treasures to sell. Our clients will be collectors and the world’s wealthy. We work this market because we’re looking to build our financial futures, but find the traditional ways, like the stock markets and company 401K's, just don't seem to be doing what we need them to do.

We've discovered that there's a limitless amount of money that can be made in the antique and fine art industry, so we're getting ourselves up to speed. Many of us were already antique lovers, but some members are just now beginning to appreciate these fine items.

We're learning, having fun, and meeting great people as we build college funds for our kids, and aim to have enough retirement money to live well, and not just get by. Our members each have their own personal financial goals, and they set their path accordingly. Right now, while the markets might be taking a beating, the higher end of the antique and fine art markets are still a blazing fire. This is where we want to be, and this is what we get educated about at the 31 Club.

By working in the high end of the antique and fine art markets, along with the plan I’ve laid out in my book, you will discover that trading in the kinds of tangible goods sought after by the world’s wealthy will be the path that sets you and your family financially free. But, first ask yourself if you consider yourself trainable and are okay with doing some hard work. You'll need to be both.

At the 31 Club, we’re educating ourselves to recognize and locate these high quality items. We’re using specific strategies for buying, selling, and growing profits. And we’re doing it all in the Antique, Fine Art, and Collectible Markets. When we follow this disciplined approach, well – quite frankly we’ll find that people will be counting us among the world’s wealthy.

Right now during this perfect storm, I’ve seem more estate sales advertised then I can possibly attend. I’m certain that antique items that have not seen the light of day in decades will likely turn up, as people sell off their valuables for cash.

In my book, I’ve done my best to lift the veil of secrecy that pervades this business, so that anyone can gain access to it. And when it comes to making money, the simple truth is this:

Money is made buying and selling, not sitting in an investment account or a piece of property. A planned approach to buying low, selling high, keeping your money turning and compounding will enable you to accumulate more cash than your banker or your broker will ever get for you. All in the Antiques, Collectible and Fine Art Markets.

Most 31 Club Members a begin with a $100 purchase in the antique, collectibles and fine art markets, and continue to grow their money from this initial investment. That’s the 31 Club Plan. I’ve laid it out in my book, and I Blog everyday to help educate you. Members e-mail me and call me for guidance. Some of our members are making more progress than they ever thought possible. If you’re new to this blog, stick around and take a look at our archives. We think this is the place you’ll want to hang your hat. And if you're already a member, let this serve as a reminder to continue on the path.

Beanie Who? Beanie Babies May be Back.

This Beanie Baby bear recently sold for $500 on eBay.
I thought the Beanie Baby craze was over, but I was wrong. I recently looked at eBay and found beanie babies bring in some big bucks. Some are over a thousand dollars. The Royal Blue Peanut the Elephant, 1995, sold for $1,000. You can check these for yourself in the Completed Listings.

I guess I could plead temporary insanity, because last year I bought three large boxes of Beanie Babies from a house sale and then gave them away to some under privileged children at a Christmas party I went to. I thought they would make great gifts. Because I got about 250 of them for $25, I was able to give more gifts. No, I guess I didn’t lose my mind. The excitement and and smiles on their faces as they plowed through those boxes was a joy to see. I know I did the right thing. I only wished I had had another 1,000 Beanie Babies to give away that day.

Another time, I was called into a house where again there were several hundred Beanies. The woman gave them to me for a trip my friend Colin and I were taking up to visit the Lakota Souix tribe in South Dakota. We packed them all up and off we went. Colin loves the reservation, and members of the Lakota Sioux tribe have taken him in as a member. I think he has made over thirty trips there in the last 5 or 6 years. The Native American children were thrilled so see these cute little animals and gathered them up by the handful.

But back to my point about these collectibles. It seems that to the collector, these fuzzy little creatures still have value. But to the public at large, they are a thing of the past. This, then, is the perfect storm for us. Buying large quantities of the Beanies in one location can help you reap a great harvest. You may or may not find one of the $1,000 Beanies, but still, many others are selling for $70 or $80 dollars on eBay today.

What if you bought 100 of these little creatures for $2.00 apiece and sold them at an average of $8.00, what would that have done for you? Lets see 100 times $8.00 equals $800 minus the cost of $200 for a net profit of $600. Three times your money. Yes, that definitely meets the goal of doubling our money and it takes us one step closer the the finish line in our Million Dollar Race. Who would have thought it was possible with these little bears?

The shipping on these creatures would probably be less than $5. However, if you wanted to get paid a little for your labor, a $2 add on might be justified. This would push your profit up to $800, or four times your investment. Instead of putting this money in the bank for them to profit from, just go and spend the money one more time. At a four times return, you will have $12,800 in your bank account. That might even start paying for a college education for one of your kids.

You have heard me say that we want to move up to the rare and unusual as quickly as we can, but you may want to stop along the way and pick up a few of these little creatures. Right now I think it would make great sense. This could prove to be an excellent way to spend your first $100.

Daryle Lambert - Must Be Crazy

It is 6:00 in the morning and I am writing a blog. Your first question must be why? So let me explain. As you know, my father-in-law passed away Monday, and I went to Kentucky and only returned to Chicago very late on Thursday evening.

Leaving my wife Vickie and son Joshua in Kentucky to comfort their Mother and Grandmother, I returned to Chicago alone Friday night. Having more to do than one could imagine, I started to catch up on my emails, book shippings and record keeping. You may not believe this, but I am only half caught up and I am still at the computer now at this time in the morning.

Not wanting to be alone, I keep the television on, and as I was working I heard the announcer say, "Our guest for tonight is Marsha Collier, and she will be educating us on making money on eBay. You bet, I stopped what I was doing and began to listen to the show, presented by Public Broadcasting.

Marsha is the author of eBay for Dummies, and several other books as well as a DVD series. As I listened I realized that she has accumulated all the information that a person needs to be successful on eBay and her presentation is very professional. However, I realized that she was showing the viewers how to make a living or extra income, and said that to increase that income all you had to do was work more. She is right. If your goal is limited to weekly or monthly income. In my mind, this defines a job. If that is what you are after, then I would highly recommend her as a source for anyone wanting to use eBay in this manner. However, the program that the 31 Club has designed for you offers much more in the way of life changing opportunities.

I am going to list a few of these life changing opportunities, so that you will truly see the wealth building plan that has been put together for you. First we expect you to provide a living for yourself and your family by doing what you're doing now, or become full time dealers in merchandise that you will be buying and selling.

The 31 Club Program doesn't expect you to spend all your time listing items on eBay so that you can increase your income. Rather, you will become knowledgeable through our program so that you can identify the rare and unusual items that will make you at least 100% return on your investment each time you buy and then sell an item. We are now at the point where the two plans -- Marsha's plan and the 31 Club Plan really part ways. You see, her plan prepares you to do the same thing over and over again, not really providing you with the opportunity to advance up the scale of life. The 31 Club Program, utilizes compounding and can help you to take a very small amount of money and build a fortune from it, while allowing you to maintain your present life style in the process.

I realized that there is room for both plans. In fact, we would encourage you to use a combination of the two if you want to. Many of our members are doing just that. However, 31 Club Plan uses a very definite strategy that must be followed and should be completely separate from anything else that you are doing. All the records such as check books, ledgers, inventory sheets and expenses should be kept totally separate from anything else that you may have going.

By watching this show when I should have been sleeping, it made me realize even more how fantastic and totally unique our program is. Others have started the process for success, but The 31 Club will write the final chapter.

The 31 Club uses a wealth building plan that can help you accumulate enough funds to last a lifetime, buying and selling antiques, collectibles, and fine art. Join the 31 Club. Learn about Antiques & Collectibles. Learn How to Invest in Antiques & Collectibles and build lifetime wealth. The plan is in my book.
