Daryle Lambert: WOW! It could have been you

I believe it has begun in earnest and that is the appreciation of the Obama memorabilia. I was watching the news on Yahoo and a gentleman was talking about the car that he had purchased for $24,000 and now had it listed on eBay for a price of one million dollars “buy it now”. He listed it at the end of last year and took it down on advice from his accountant but there were 41 bids and a high price of $1,551.000.

The new listing shows a starting price of $100,000 but only from approved bidders. It will be interesting to see what the final bid will be but, whatever it is, in the future that price may prove to be a bargain. It is too late to buy that car but what else should we be looking for that has been a part of President Obama's life?

The hunt for the Obama treasures will be a continuing adventure and this gives you the opportunity to cash in on it. My suggestion to you is to try to find things that were part of his early life, like letters that he wrote as a young man, Boy Scout cards if he was a scout, driver’s licenses, school papers he signed and I am sure you can think of many more. Don't forget his wife and children, because items they possessed will also have value. When they sold Kennedy's items, his son’s rocking horse brought over $100,000, if I remember correctly.

It would be an interesting idea to just concentrate on Obama over the next few years and see if by doing so you could become the “go to” guy or gal for information and items pertaining to President Obama. I have read articles about the biggest dealers in sports memorabilia and they have become extremely wealthy. This will happen with the President’s collectibles also.

I would like to hear from some of you that took my idea of going to Obama's headquarters and collected campaign items that will do nothing but go up in value over the next ten years. If you were fortunate enough to get duplicates, don't sell them all at once.

It still isn't too late to cash in on this special event that will occur next Tuesday.

Daryle Lambert: Obama is Coming

I have been silent about the political scene for a while because we are in a transition time but don’t be caught asleep and lose out on this big time money opportunity. Obama is doing the professional thing by not trying to upstage President Bush while he is still in office but his time is coming. After January 20th all you will hear is Obam,,Obama.

The world will be waiting and hanging on every word that comes from the new president’s mouth and the foreign collectors may for a period of time be more interested in this presidency than the Americans. This phenomenon will only last for a short time however and then the collectors on this side of the pond will wake up and the race will be on to see who can assemble the largest collection of President Obama’s memorabilia.

Over the next four or eight years there will be tons of collectible items from this president’s time in office that will enter the public arena and hopefully my readers and 31 Club members will take fully advantage of these opportunities. I have written several past blogs on this opportunity and hopefully these will be called back up and they will help in your pursuit for money making. These items will be equal in value over a short period of time to those of Lincoln and Washington.

What intrigue there is going to be as people try to figure out the relationship between Obama and Clinton. Is Obama using the old saying,” Keep your friend close but your enemies closer?” Does Bill and Hillary plan on trying to undermind the president’s administration so she can run for the Presidency in 2012? These and many more questions will be answered in the next few years and this will continue to occupy the front pages of papers and magazines plus receive tremendous air time on our televisions. All the time these events are playing out you will be able to add dollars to your bank accounts by finding those special items that collectors are searching for.

This may be one of those times that you set a piece of Obama memorabilia aside for yourself after your goal for doubling your profits has been reached. I think that if there was an area of collecting that might tempt me to start a new collection it would be items from Obama’s years in office.

But what would I search for to add to the collection? First it would be items pertaining to his life before being elected President. I just saw some early photographs that a fellow student shot of him in his school years and in my humble opinion these will become priceless. His signed books will become harder and harder to obtain but you may still be able to find one if you are lucky. Things that he owned in his younger years will reach unbelievable heights in the future. Would you believe an old bicycle that Obama owned and rode as a child might command $100,000 in a few years? His clothing that you can document that he wore by seeing him in them in a photo will be equal in value to the outfits that Elvis wore. These are just a few areas that I would endeavor to profit from and I hope that you will too.

The People Have Spoken

Now is the time for all Americans to unite behind its government. No, my candidate didn't win but I hope America did. The world will now wait to see how this country reacts to the election. If we stay divided our enemies will take advantage of our division. Each election gives a new President the opportunity to take this country in the direction that they think is best for it. I sincerely hope that President Obama will lead the entire country in a direction that will be best for generations to come.

In past blogs I stated that Obama as President would make this the most exciting time for political memorabilia since Washington and Lincoln. I will wait to see if that prophecy comes true. I hope that my readers took advantage of this opportunity because prices for this year’s campaign items will sky rocket over the next several years. These collectibles will not only be sought in this country but around the world. Look for the best of these items and your reward will be unbelievable.

The difference between collectibles that come and go are that they rise or fall based on a whim but political memorabilia is part of history. Children for every generation to come will see items from this election in museums. As such, these items will have to be purchased by museums and the competition for unique items will be fierce. There will be no lack of buyers for the rare and unusual items that represent Obama's life and his journey to the Presidency of the United States.

This will likely be my last blog on this particular subject but I think you will be kept well informed on the progress of political items by auction house results and completed e-bay sales for the items that I hope you have been accumulating over the past few months.

Now it is time to begin searching for the next great thing to bring to you. One of the best things about being an antique and art dealer is that the markets never stop and there are always new items that become of interest to people each day.

2008 Political Memorabilia Will Make Fortunes of Us Regular Folk

Hillary Clinton 2008 Topps Baseball Card, autographed on the back, sold for $725 on eBay, May 13, 2008. There were only 18 cards printed.

More fortunes will be made in political memorabilia items from this election season than in any other time in history. I am more convinced of this now than I was back in August, when I began writing this subject.

This thought came to the forefront of my mind yesterday during a conversation I had with eBay Powerseller, Skip McGrath. He was looking to share some timely information with his many readers and customers, so he asked where I thought there was a real niche market in the antiques & collectibles business; one that was highly profitable.

You see, Skip McGrath is in the business of helping others make money with eBay. He’s one of the best known names in the industry, so keeping his readers and customers current and satisfied is second nature to him.

“Daryle,” Skip said. “Is there a niche right now that’s highly profitable?”
I can’t believe how quickly the answer came to me. It came in a flash. Political Memorabilia; without question.

I’ve discussed this topic in previous Blogs, so you might want to look those up to refresh yourself. If you’re new to the blog, scroll back or check the category list to find them. So, today, let’s get a little more detailed in the types of items that could become quite valuable, in addition to those previously mentioned.

High School and College Yearbooks from the schools that Clinton, McCain, and Obama attended will become highly sought after. If they are signed by the candidates, their value could escalate to the moon after the results of this election.

Personal Letters will command astonishing prices. For example, personal letters from Abraham Lincoln could bring in hundreds of thousands of dollars today. If Barack Obama is elected President, his personal letters could achieve that same status.
Photographs of the candidates will be competing with photographs of top athletes for the highest prices.

Articles of Clothing will be compared in value to costumes that Elvis wore. (Look up some of those, if you dare.)

This morning on eBay, 1065 Hillary Clinton Items were listed for sale; 722 McCain items and 2812 Obama items for sale.

Number of sold items show Hillary Clinton coming in with 2,753 sales, McCain with 1,745 sales, and Obama ringing in 8,000 sales for eBay.

The highest price paid on eBay shown this morning indicates a high price for Hillary Clinton at $725 for 2008 Topps Baseball Card, autographed.

A signed on-the-spot and authenticated baseball produced John McCain’s high selling price of $273.98.

Barack Obama comes in with a whopping $2,700 sale of an Obey Giant Shepard Fairey Complete Set of 4 signed/numbered prints.

In other words, anything that can be connected to these candidates will be going to auctions throughout the world, sold to the highest bidder. When the Kennedy Collectibles came to auction, they sold at stunning prices. I particularly remember John Jr.’s rocking horse being hammered at an amazing price. I can’t stress enough how this election has the historical value not seen since our founding fathers stood together and started this great nation.

This event will not be a one day wonder, so everyone still has time to participate in this upcoming auction bonanza. I’ve seen items already selling on eBay, yet no one has shown me a single article written about this subject, except for my own. So, don’t be asleep at the wheel while dealers and collectors are working under a cloak of secrecy. Get out there and get your share at a great price before the articles start pouring in over the wires. Then, when you start seeing article after article on the value of this election’s political memorabilia, you’ll have your items on hand to cash in big when the market takes a hike straight upward. Your cash out value can then fund your next big purchase(s), sought after by worldwide collectors.

The opportunity that only comes about once every hundred years or so could be staring you in the face today. Don’t miss it.

Barack Obama and Political Memorabilia

Tuesday,I watched a young man give a speech that surpassed any that I’ve heard in my 54 years of being interested in politics. My father was a very well respected Republican in Kentucky, and I was the County Chairman for the Republicans, as well as, involved in several state and national campaigns. But, I am compelled to say that Senator Obama's speech on racism was better than any I heard from Martin Luther King or any other self proclaimed authority on the subject. You might not agree with what he said, but his message was a home run. I felt like I was looking directly into the man’s soul. Never have I heard the racial issues so well explained nor an offer to rise above it expressed quite as he did.

I have to confess that there is no way I could vote for him, because we are so different in our views of the world. However, I think that within Obama is the ability to do great things. I have heard some people say he speaks well, but do you know him? My answer to them is --did you know John F. Kennedy or Ronald Reagan? I think most fair minded people would say they were great leaders, even if you didn't always agree with them.

Perhaps I could take a chance on Obama if the entire Congress could be dismissed, but that isn't going to happen. With no checks and balances in our government, I don't think I could sleep at night if I voted that way.

So, what does this have to do with Antiques, Collectibles and the 31 Club? Believe it or not, everything I’ve said will help you make a lot of money. Buy everything you can that has anything to do with this election, anything that has Obama’s signature, picture or any mention of him on it. These are going to be historical documents and highly sought after by many collectors. Remember, most collectors are trying to buy back their past ,and in my entire lifetime, I have never seen so much passion in an election as I have in this one. It’s not too late, and the value of these items will escalate after the election, whether he wins or not.

I apologize in advance if I have offended any of my regular readers or anyone else, but I have to call them as I see them. While I could not vote for Obama, I would be untrue to myself if I wasn’t man enough to state that I believe he is a true man of greatness. I will never have the opportunity to see things as he does, but I give him the right to his views, like I hope he will give me mine. If I had a conversation with Senator Obama, I believe we would both leave with a respect and understanding between us. It would be a great honor to shake his hand some day.

Can Ebay Predict the Election Results? Political Memorabilia - McCain, Obama, Hillary Clinton

Barack Obama Campaign Print Sells for $5,900 on eBay. Highest Price to date.

What a difference a month can make. Not too long ago, I wrote a blog about political memorabilia. I suggested that you might go to all the current presidential candidate's headquarters and gather up all the campaign items you could. How many of you did that? If you did, your rewards might prove to be fantastic.

Who would have thought that an old, worn down soldier could have survivied against the Millionaire and the 9/11 Hero? But, he did. Three months ago, John McCain would have gladly given you his autograph. If he did, today you might be holding the signature of the next President of the United States. Pretty much out of money and with little hope, his campaign posters could have been collected by the bundles. How the scenario has changed today. You still might have time to pick up some of the buttons or other items that will become very valuable collectibles if he wins. What kind of returns will you have make on John McCain's memorabilia if he is elected President?

Next, let's examine Barack Obama, a freshman Senator running against the Senator- Wife of a past President. Not any President, but Bill Clinton, one of this country's favorites. The press had crowned Hillary early on and suggested that anyone who challenged her was wasting their time and money. Yes, I think Senator Obama would have gladly signed your autograph book, and probably several times. He is proving to be one of the most charismatic campaigners that I have ever seen. Do you have anything from his campaign headquarters? How about Hillary's? As this race gets heated up, anything that has Barack Obama's name or Hillary Clinton's name on it will gain in value. You won't have to wait ten years to see it. This will happen between now and November. If you doubt me, just check some items on eBay now and then, again, right before the election.

As I write this, there are 2282 items listed on eBay under "Obama". 1438 Items listed under "Hillary Clinton." 647 Items listed under "McCain." I checked the completed listings, and as I write this, the highest price paid so far is $5,900 for a Barack Obama 24'' x 36'' Edition of 350 (signed and hand numbered)
"Progress" print. Clinton and McCain have less impressive completed sales prices. Can eBay be predicting the Election Results?

Isn't this business fun and easy? All you have to do is think outside the box. That's what makes this fun and profitable. While everyone else is running around like a chickens with their head cut off trying to find items that they will make a 20% return on, you are being given information about things that will prove to be real treasures. You can sell some and keep some, because the cost is zero. Twenty years from now people will be asking each other, “How did he or she do that and who did they know to get those things.”

This is the greatest advantage to doing business the 31 Club way. You never have to be in a hurry. You're always ahead of the trend, because you take the time to become knowledgeable. You'll know the direction of the trends.

Have you picked up any of these items? If you have, please share what you've got in the comments section. Then, if you sell them before the election, please share that with us, too. Our members will be watching to see if I have shared a truth with them, so help me out.
