Tiffin not Tiffany Glass - Daryle Lambert's Antiques and Collectibles Blog - Can be a real bargain.

Tiffin Cystal - Thanks to Suziemax.com

The word Tiffany brings dollar signs to most people’s eyes. Just the name Tiffany will put an item out of the reach of a lot of people, but how about Tiffin Glass? Now that may be another matter altogether. I find few people are even aware of the Tiffin company and the ones that are usually just connect it with puffy lamps of Parrots and Love Birds that resemble Pairpoint.

Here is a fairly complete biography of the Tiffin Company and I believe you will find it very interesting reading. I was amazed at the variety of glass produced by this company, until I read about the combining of several companies under one name. There is also a Tiffin Museum that will contribute to your knowledge of this company.

I have to admit that in the past I have owned several of the Tiffin bird lamps but recently I was fortunate enough to purchase a champagne glass by Tiffin that I fell in love with. This glass will soon appear on the Daryle Lambert'sAntiques and Collectibles Marketplace .It is wonderfully etched and has a cameo of a dancing lady in the Art Deco style that could have only been done by a master. I hope that in the future I will be able to purchase more of the quality Tiffin pieces because it is my belief that they are underpriced. Plus, when you buy Tiffin you won't be breaking the bank, but there will be great profits to be had if you are a discriminating buyer.

Tiffin even made vaseline glass, which is some of my favorite glass. At the moment, it seems to be a little out of favor but it shouldn't stay that way long. Now might well be the time to take advantage of that, in this period where people seem to be discounting almost everything indiscriminately. Just the difference in a few little letters can mean so much but I think that we can put this to our advantage.
